Inedible Cuteness :)
I make cupcakes a lot! But sometimes my creativity is channeled in less edible fashions....
One lovely Winter day I was wandering through Joann's, minding my own business when I was struck by a moment of brilliance!
So one thing about me: I'm cheap! VERY cheap! Like "Don't spend eight dollars all at once!!" kind of cheap.
So pretty bobby pins like these:
There is very little you can't do with a little bit of bling and a lot of tacky glue! (well actually there's just very little you can't do when you have a lot of tacky glue! :D)
Well.... I don't really spend that kind of money. :P
So I improvised!
Plain bobby pins |
Oh! Shiny! |
My best friends |
Little bit of glue |
Just a little bit of glue does it, and I was actually very pleasantly surprised by how well the jewels stay on! :)
And they actually work!! |
Yay! So that's the end of that!
Here's another crafty project (that I actually did today, not half a year ago!)
Graduation is right around the corner and I'm FINALLY getting excited for it. Probably just because I finally realized that it can involve craftiness.
Anyways.... Today I made a mailbox to sit on my grad table and hold cards! Okay, correction: I didn't actually make the box. It was already made. And stripy. And bright. With hearts. Basically something more suited for a middle schooler. It was cute, but not really me. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of what it looked like before, or the renovation process. :( But I have pictures of the finished product!! :)
It's a little bit ridiculous how excited I am for this one little mail box! I absolutely LOVED making it! The process wasn't frustrating at all! Oh! Also, I think it is worth mentioning that I have officially overcome my fear of fire. Somewhat. But I burned paper edges today and didn't cringe every time I set something on fire!! :) So basically, life is a success!
The End! :)
